ABOUT CMF

Cambridge Music Forum is a student-built conference based on a simple purpose: to create a space where rising talent can directly connect with industry professionals. Our mission is to encourage collaboration, insights, and opportunities, bringing all who love our timeless art-form under one roof.
Now in its fifth year, ARU students proudly present the newly rebranded Cambridge Music Forum—a music industry conference built on the success of previous events. In partnership with Cambridge City Council, CMF 2026 will tackle some of the most pressing issues in today’s music world, from the future of live music and festivals to creating sustainable career paths for artists and industry professionals.
A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Networking and access to industry professionals is often limited, and aspiring musicians and students rarely get the opportunity to demonstrate their talents in front of people who can help shape their careers. CMF bridges the gap. We offer an event to gain real-world experience, present work to potential employers and mentors, and engage in meaningful conversation about the challenges us musicians face. Our conference aims to build a lasting foundation or the next generation of music industry talent.
